Edward De La Rosa is married to Norma who is also a credentialed minister, they have been blessed with 3 sons, Alex, Esteban, and Eric. His Ministerial Education consists of Graduating from Instituto Biblico Magdiel (1989), he also graduated with a Licenciatura en Teologia from Instituto de Superacion Ministerial (ISUM) (2005). Edward has Pastored 2 churches, Lirio de los Valles in El Campo, Texas (1991-1997), and Templo Cristiano in Uvalde, Texas (1997-Present). He served as Presbyter of the Rosenberg Section (1994-1997), and the Uvalde Section (2000-2009). As a Pastor he has helped pioneer churches in Knippa , Tx., Batesville, Tx., Hondo, Tx. of which all are growing congregations. Edward taught Theology at Instituto Biblico Gethsemani Eagle Pass, Texas (1997-2007), and at Instituto Biblico Gilgal Uvalde, Texas (2000-Present). He also served as Asst.DYD for GLAD (1994-1998), and is serving as the Representative of Instituto de Superacion Ministerial (ISUM) for the United States (2002-2011).

Pastor Ricardo Reyes and his wife Becky were married January 2, 1982. They are the proud parents of three young men; Ricky, Robby and Reggie. These young men have actively helped their parents in ministry. Ricky is married to Elizabeth Reyes. Robby is married to Brittany Reyes and they are the parents to our first granddaughter, Riley Marie Reyes. Our youngest son Reggie, is not married yet and is a student at UTRGV.

Pastor Reyes took his first pastorate in the month of October  of 1990 and has served in full time ministry to the present time. His ministry experience includes being Associate Pastor, Lead Pastor, Bible School teacher and Director of Bethel Bible Institute. 

In the Gulf Latin American District, he served as Sectional Secretary/Treasurer, Assistant Presbyter and Sectional Presbyter for the Rosenberg Section and the Upper Valley Section.

Pastor Reyes also served the Gulf Latin American District, and the Texas Gulf Hispanic District, on the Finance Committee, Missions Awareness Team (MAT) and as General Presbyter.  

Currently, Pastor Reyes is the Lead Pastor at Templo Bethel Asamblea de Dios in Pharr, TX. He first came on staff to serve as Associate Pastor. He served in that capacity from June 1997 to early 2002 when he was elected as Lead Pastor. 

Most recently, Pastor Reyes was elected Assistant Superintendent of the Texas Gulf Hispanic District in June of 2016, in the city of Weslaco, TX. As such, he will serve as the District Missions Director (DMD) and also as the Advisor to the District Ministry Leaders.

Pastor Reyes looks forward to working alongside Rev. Edward De La Rosa and Rev. Maricela Hernandez.  Together, they are the district Executive Leadership Team that will lead the Executive Presbytery, the General Presbytery, the ministers and congregations of the Texas Gulf Hispanic District.


Maricela Hernandez

Maricela H. Hernández was elected as the West Spanish language area executive presbyter in August 2021, representing nine Hispanic districts within the Assemblies of God. She is the secretary/treasurer of the Texas Gulf Hispanic District of the Assemblies of God.

Prior to her current role, Hernández served as lead pastor of Templo Paraiso, Sullivan City, Texas for nine years and as assistant pastor of Family Christian Assembly, Penitas, Texas for 17 years.

Hernández serves on the AGTrust Board of Advisers, Southwestern Assemblies of God University Board of Regents, and Global University Board of Trustees. She founded Flames of Fire Bible School in 2007, a district school of ministry Bible training center. She serves on the CMN lead team and NWM regional director. She is involved internationally serving as the USA Women Ministries Representative for the Hispanic World Fellowship of the Assemblies of God.

Hernández holds a master's degree in leadership from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from the University of Texas Pan American. She is also a graduate of Bethel Bible Institute.

She and her husband, Rafael, have two adult children.
